Step 2: Scheduling & Paint Selection
Once you approve the quote, we agree a start date that works for you. We purchase all paint and materials in advance so there are no delays. If you have not finalised your colours, we can bring a few tester pots so you can see how they look on your walls in different lighting conditions.
Step 3: Protection & Surface Preparation
We cover floors with heavy-duty dust sheets, mask light switches, sockets, window glass and any fixtures with quality masking tape, and move furniture clear of the work area. We then fill cracks and holes, sand surfaces smooth, treat any damp or mould spots, and apply primer or stain blocker where needed.
Step 4: Painting — First Coat
We apply the first coat of paint using the appropriate technique for each surface — roller for walls and ceilings, brush for cutting in and woodwork. We allow proper drying time between coats (no rushing) and inspect each surface before moving on.
Step 5: Second Coat & Detail Work
The second coat is applied for full, even coverage. We then go back and do the detail work — touching up any edges, ensuring clean lines between walls and woodwork, and making sure the finish is uniform. For woodwork, we apply an undercoat plus top coat as standard.

Can you deal with damp stains or mould before painting?
Yes. We treat affected areas with specialist mould wash and stain-blocking primer before applying the top coats. This prevents stains from bleeding through the new paint. However, if there is an ongoing damp problem (such as a leak), we will advise you to get that resolved first so the paint job lasts.
